Sculpture
In the act of making sculpture I follow the path of the material. Not the hardness so often associated with steel, but the plasticity, the softness and the malleability of it. I make work that shows process. Sometimes it is a natural process, growth or decay, sometimes it is a material process showing hammer marks and joinery, and sometimes it is a thought process, meting out current events.
